Wendigo

The Wendigo is a common spirit mentioned amongst Algonquin-speaking First Nations tribes. It is a malevolent, cannibalistic phantom that appears weak due to its emaciation, but in fact, possesses immense strength and agility. It lures lost wanderers into the woods on dark winter nights by imitating the voices of loved ones.
